What is Mindfulness?

Paying Attention

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgementally. MBSR is a tool that helps us to cultivate a moment-to-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and surrounding environment.

More than Relaxation

While many people find mindfulness meditation relaxing, MBSR is more than just a way to unwind. By helping us to intentionally guide our attention, the skills learned in our MBSR course can have positive effects on many areas of health and wellness.
